Hi Tomb Raider fans! I have been anticipating the 20th year of this incredible game for a while now. I am excited to say that Crystal Dynamics have released a lovely amount of information to you all on their blog. I don’t know about anyone else, but I remember the 10th anniversary very well and adored the game that was created in its honour.

This year marks 20 years of fabulous, quality game-play for this franchise and I am beaming with excitement over this fact.

Let the celebrations begin with PAX East this April. Ron Rosenberg, Co-Head of Studio at Crystal Dynamics. Has said a few things about the festivities, and essentially that they look forward to celebrating with Tomb Raider fans their iconic heroine Lara Croft. They have surprises planned and giveaways for the fans as well.

Another fantastic part of the 20th celebration is, as part of the 20-year celebration, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have partnered with GameChanger Charity to provide donors with a free digital copy of Tomb Raider 2013 for every contribution made to the charity in excess of $1! You can read all about the events and what is planned for the fantabulous anniversary of our beloved Tomb Raider HERE!

There you have it. The latest update about what the Tomb Raider world is buzzing about at the moment! There is a lot happening on the Tomb Raider front. From Crystal Dynamics about a leaked content situation:

“As some eagle-eyed Rise of the Tomb Raider players have discovered, two placeholder movies were accidentally included in the latest patch. This content was not meant to be released, but now that it is we wanted to respond to the questions we’ve received as a result. The movies are part of a DLC expansion we’re exploring for Rise of the Tomb Raider. Our fans continue to enjoy Rise of the Tomb Raider and its DLC, including Cold Darkness Awakened which released on Tuesday, and we receive many requests for additional story content. We’re always listening to feedback from our fans; especially this year as we celebrate 20 years of the iconic Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise together.”

  1. Your web site keeps getting stronger and better. By the way I had fun reading your Disney stuff over on the Disney site. You sure have a way with a pen. Do you know anyone from the Force Awakens since you work for an area of Disney concerned with the movies. I am so jealous! Why don;t you announce your with them on here? I am only wondering, but I wanted to say you ROCK!
